Flight Calculator

• Temperature — convert between °C and °F (−65 °C to 55 °C).
• Speed — convert knots to MPH or KPH.
• Time · Speed · Distance — enter any two of ground speed (kts), time (min), and distance (NM) to get the third.
• Descent Profile — pick a descent angle (2.75°, 3.00°, or 3.50°), enter ground speed and initial and final altitudes to get the distance, vertical speed (fpm), and time.

Tap a value to edit it. Clear resets a section.

Hour Calculator

A calculator for hours and minutes, titled “Time Calculator”.

• Type digits for hours and minutes (for example 130 = 1h 30m) and use + − × ÷.
• Type a decimal to enter decimal hours (for example 5.25 = 5h 15m).
• →H.T converts the result to decimal hours. $Rate multiplies the result by an hourly rate.
• 24h enters clock times. Press and hold 24h to enter the current time.
• AC clears everything, CE clears the entry, and ⌫ deletes a digit. The share button shares the tape.

Crosswind Calculator

Set the runway heading, wind direction, and wind speed with the dials and steppers to see the headwind (green) or tailwind (red) component and the crosswind (blue) component. METAR and TAF winds are true. ATIS, ASOS/AWOS broadcasts, tower winds, and runway numbers are magnetic.

• From the ⋯ menu: enter the heading and the wind in the same reference, for example the ATIS wind with the runway’s magnetic heading.
• From an airport’s ⋯ menu: the same, and the calculator shows that airport’s magnetic variation.
• From a runway card: see Runways tab.
• When gusts are reported, the filled-in wind speed is the gust speed.

Quick access buttons

The airport grid and the map have a small button on the left edge and one on the right edge. Tap a button to open what it’s set to. On the airport grid you can also swipe in from that edge.

• Temperature (°F / °C) and Speed (kts / mph) slide out from that side. Swipe back toward the edge to close. Tap a slider to step its value up or down.
• Crosswind Calculator, Hour Calculator, and Flight Calculator open as a sheet.

The defaults are Temperature on the left and Crosswind Calculator on the right. Choose each one, or turn it off, in Settings. On the map, the buttons are hidden while flight tracking is open.
